Context
Context
The client needed to stand up a media-splitting pipeline ahead of a fixed delivery date before Christmas 2023. The work was commercially and operationally important, with limited time available and several competing technical and delivery pressures to manage.
P3M Works supported WeShape in bringing structure, clarity and delivery control to the engagement.
Challenge
The challenge
The project faced a combination of time pressure, technical debt and an expanding list of feature requests.
The challenge was not simply to move quickly. The team needed to:
- Separate critical MVP requirements from desirable future features
- Avoid scope creep derailing delivery
- Untangle existing technical debt
- Maintain confidence across stakeholders
- Ensure the delivered solution worked against the agreed requirements
Clarity and prioritisation were essential.
Approach
Our approach
P3M Works helped steer delivery back into focus by establishing a lean, structured delivery plan centred on the essential outcomes.
Working alongside WeShape, we mapped desired outcomes, clarified stakeholder expectations and identified which features were genuinely required for the MVP. This allowed the team to prioritise what mattered most and defer non-essential activity to a later phase.
We also introduced a tailored governance approach to support delivery control, including clearer documentation, visible risk tracking and consistent communication. This helped bridge technical and delivery conversations, ensuring decisions were understood, ownership was clear and progress remained aligned to the agreed objectives.
Outcome
Outcome
The project regained focus around the critical MVP requirements and moved forward with clearer ownership, stronger governance and improved stakeholder confidence.
By reducing ambiguity and prioritising the essential work, P3M Works helped the delivery team avoid unnecessary distraction and maintain momentum under significant time pressure.
The engagement demonstrated the value of structured delivery support in fast-moving technical environments where clarity, prioritisation and governance can directly influence successful outcomes.
Key outcomes
What changed
